It's never easy talking about yourself. If you boast, you sound conceited. If you downplay... you sound boring.
Let's see if I can just present the facts (with a modicum of boasting) to present a happy medium.
From a certification standpoint I believe I am one of the most certified (or most certifiable) persons in the
business. Triple MCSE (NT/2000/2003), MCT, MCSA (2000/2003), A+, iNet+, Network+, CIW CI, CNA, CCNA, and an MCITP:
Messaging with Exchange 2007.
In terms of work... I describe myself as the Ryan Seacrest of the Network world (which means I work for everyone
these days) with work ranging from:
- Train Signal: I am the Exchange 2010
Instructor (stay tuned for this series to go live in the
near future!!!)
- ClipTraining.com: I am co-owner and Director of
Development. The company provides user-oriented
training within a special Learning Management System (LMS)
for corporations and individuals to benefit from.
- Que/Sams: Authoring books "Tricks of the Vista Masters" and "Administrating Office 2007 Servers"
- Redmond Magazine: Frequent contributor to the Features section, generally about Exchange subject matter.
- WindowsITPro: Frequent contributor with articles and screencast that relate to Exchange subject matter.
- Realtime Publishers Monthly Magazine: Administration in Realtime (Column: Exclusively Exchange)
- MS Press: Wrote the High Availability chapter for the Walter Glenn Administrators Guide to Exchange 2007
- TechMentor Conference Speaker: Sessions include Exchange PowerShell, Transitioning, What's New in Exchange 2007, and more.
- InfoWorld: I am their Enterprise Windows blogger, which is an incredibly huge honor.
Here is a nice picture of me at my TechEd 2008 session (actually, at the point where I am using my Ryan Seacrest joke... the audience didn't get it either.
So, I have a backup... I tell them I have more sponsors than a Nascar driver. That usually gets a chuckle.) : |
